To me having another PG is more important than another shooter. Get the chance to move Trey full time off the ball and he will be a lot more comfortable. Max has obviously gotten more comfortable of late, too. Either a PG or I could see us possibly grabbing a big man in the portal so that Jirak can possibly sit for a year, but that would surprise me a bit. I feel like he's ready to contribute from day 1.

I don't think Jirak needs to sit, but I could see the concern with Hornseth being the main big at 6'8". I think with RJ coming back healthy and a year of weight and strength added to Redek with Trey running the point sometimes still works. Geon can also handle the ball a bit too. We absolutely have to find a sniper from outside. We need some version of Trae, Bohannon, Ali, Sonnen, etc. We could honestly use two of them, but that's greedy.

I agree with Wxc. Trey is a shooter. We need a driving PG. with a motor. I’m not saying it can’t be RJ. But that’s a tough injury to get back to 100%.

This team desperately needs shooting. That's where the focus has to be. You grab the best one we can afford and hope that Schweiger's percentage bumps up and the Max from February 1 on is the real Max.

We don't need another PG. RJ will be back and a fully healthy Born is more than capable plus we know that Trey is going to have the ball in his hands a lot regardless.

Bigs are crazy expensive so I'm not sure anything more than a project or a kid we have a previous relationship with is realistic.

Exactly, we already have 2 PG that can handle (Trey and RJ), 2 big wings that can slash and defend (Leon and Benny), and 2 bigs with legitimate size (Hornseth and Jirak).

This team NEEDS more shooting. It was our fatal flaw all season long. If we can find a guy to bring in that can knock down open 3s, the team looks real nice on paper next year. I'm still holding out hope for Pock to be that guy too, he still has great potential for me as a shooter with size.

Charlie is a walk on, gives us 1 scholarship.

Scholarships are irrelevant now.

Hard roster cap at 15, we're now at 14 for next year and Hunter Jacobson's spot is available if it needs to be.

This doesn't mean anything really but Jake has completed all of his postseason 1 on 1s with the guys so, at least for now, everyone else has indicated they're coming back. Obviously not set in stone but I think we can feel okay about that at this point.

Same feeling on Pock. I think you see him turn a corner next year when he should have more consistent playing time and won't be looking over his shoulder for Tytan at the scorer's table.

We definitely need all the shooting we can get, whether it's in the portal or high school recruits. 3 point shooting is important for the modern game but especially for the offensive style we implement. When we try to run our offense with 2-3 non shooters on the floor it really congests things inside the arc for our back door cuts and the flow of our offensive movement. We started playing better this year only when Ben, Max and Hutty started shooting at a better clip.

Dix is WAY out of our price range. Different stratosphere.

Plus, he's going to Creighton to be closer to a sick family member.

I was wondering about this as well. It would make more sense for these guys to declare at this point--they only played garbage time. I'm still curious to know if we'll hear about anyone else after our NIT run is done.

Sure, but at the same time, it's not the big dance. Opting out before the NIT would be like opting out of a bowl game, not unheard of.
