Interesting that Murray is able to raise $1 mil. Been in the Murray area several times...not the most prosperous part of country.

Pretty clear when you see their facilities the $ goes to hoops not football.

They have a very rabid fanbase that's used to winning. People are going to invest what they need to so they can try and make that happen

They're also doing an $80M arena renovation. Basketball matters there and they should have been in The Valley YEARS before they actually got in.

If we take them in 2017 instead of Valpo, then we don't have to take UIC in when Loyola left and we're in the perfect 10 team league without two extra bottom feeders. Plus, we'd have gotten the Clarence Morant years and all the money and publicity that came with them.

I'm not all that worried about it, coach Jake will find our guys. We are in a pretty peculiar spot; we are looking to bring in an experienced big guy or two who would not be guaranteed to start, that is a tough sell. I would think Will starts next year, unless we can bring in a 1-year guy who is going to make a big impact. The other side is Wilson, you would think being that highly ranked of recruit out of high school he would expect quite a bit of playing time from day 1. So, if you bring in someone over him, he might hit the road after 1 year. Just my 2 cents

They are adding player after player because they had a whole roster to fill. We do not.

Guys like Trey Campbell, Leon Bond, and Ben Schweiger would be huge portal additions for a Valley level program and those guys are already on our team.

This. I totally get being a little frustrated that we haven't heard anything, but it's who our program is, and it's ultimately a good thing. Would you rather hear nothing? Or hear about all the guys we are potentially missing on? Is the latter really better than the former?

Not trying to give off sky is falling, just was hoping we could have landed Kapke. I know we were after him hard. Definitely would rather have the low roster turnover and quiet portal season than the alternative.

Way less isnt accurate. The murder rate is only slightly higher in Boston vs CF.

I will also say, Butler fans were not broken up at all about him leaving. Defensively in particular, he was apparently horrible. Slow feet, wrong place, etc. They also vented about the fact he shot a lot of threes with low percentage every time he was in.

I wanted him, and I think our staff could've helped him improve, but I don't think it was as much of a slam dunk as it initially appeared.

Whoever we add or don't add, I hope the team can find it's identity a little quicker than years past.

Also, remember when Iowa State was coined as Transfer U during the Hoiberg era? LOL you could argue 75% of teams are Portal U now
