Yes and no. All the other 5-12 games are in the same ballpark of a spread.

The split between the P leagues and the MM+ leagues is bigger than it's ever been and is only going to continue to get wider.

Awesome data, and perfect illustration of what we are up against. A tall mountain to climb on Friday night.

History is not on our side. We have never beaten a team from east of the Mississippi in the Dance. 0-7 against schools east, 5-1 against schools west. We are also only 1-10 against Big East competition, the lone win over Providence back in 2011
Number of times on Sports Illustrated cover:
Ben Jacobson coached teams = 2
UNI teams coached by everyone ban thinks is better = 0

Good thing these kids were all in middle school, younger or not born when all that happened. They don't give a ****.

Will there be any local media coverage travelling with the Panthers? I fear I know the answer, but wanted to check in case someone heard something.

I believe Woodley is going with them but that's it. Nelley should be but he, as always, chose wrestling.

Owen Siebring is a huge loss at KGAN as he was the only other guy that ever cared about UNI.

If Kansas were to lose to UNI a 2nd time in the tournament, I don't know if that fanbase would ever recover.

                      Victory for U-N-I!

The DMR online article also said UNI won the Summit League tournament. So yes, Ann Selzer is definitely on the sports staff.

God forbid someone who works at a Des Moines newspaper knows what conference *two* Division I basketball programs in the state belong to.

                              Good God.

I stopped getting the DMR a decade ago because it was so bad. I see it hasn't improved.
Winning is more fun than losing.
