does the WBB selection committee use RPI or NET rankings?

    • Good question, I don't know. I've always assumed a certain amount of "judgement" went into the final selections.

      • Not 100% sure on NCAA. WNIT uses 6 components and 2 are net and rpi.

I assume it's like the men's and first consideration is conference patch on the uniform.

            • Wisconsin-Green Bay finished at 27-5 but lost their championship game and so was snubbed by the NCAA

NET ranking of 70 doesn't usually cut it for an at-large bid

                • UNI will host Colorado State in a first round WNIT game on Thursday night (3/16), starting at 6 p.m.
winner will take on the winner of Missouri State @ Nebraska

                  • Good home game for the Panthers. I hope there is a nice crowd, but time of game, Thursday night, and less than perfect weather forecast may cut back on numbers.

Is there really any chance of Illinois State making the third round?
But it doesn't surprise me. The same company that runs the WNIT does a similar postseason tourney for VB and they don't shy away from pairing up conference-mates.
They set up the brackets based on geography to keep travel costs down.

                          • These Panthers and coaching staff have worked hard and have produced a great season. I keep thinking how great it would be for them to be rewarded with a seriously good turn-out. Wife and I go whenever we can---and we are older and live 80 miles away.

                            • This is a woodshedding. Halfway through the third quarter and shooting 65% from the field and 58% from beyond to he arc.
Oh, and let me make this perfectly clear to you people: you go to UNI, NOT IOWA. The Hawkeyes and their fans do not give a crap if you remain "true to them" or some stupid self-fulfulling bullcrap like that.-OTP
