I looked it up and Coppin State is playing at Iowa this year and I actually talked to a friend of the player who is going to Coppin State and they tried getting games with Iowa, Iowa State, Illinois State, and Illinois so his family could come watch him play.
So say what you want, but it does happen in college sports, sometimes coaches and schools look out for their players.

ISU actually did that with Lehigh this year. That is, if a clown is allowed to contribute to this board.

No, some Panther fans were questioning the Hoks' easy non-conference schedule in basketball every year. The truth is Iowa State also always schedules an easy non-conference schedule as well.

I said that coppin state wanted this game because of one of their players being from the area. And some fans jumped on me saying that it doesn't happen, the only schools that can do that are the UNC and Duke's of the world.

I know a teammate of the kid who is going to coppin state and he said that coppin state contacted a few schools in the midwest trying to set up a game so that this kids parents could see them play.

Bryce, don't let the UNI graduates who wear their black-and-gold polyester jackets with the chicken hawk logo on it scare you off. They are greatly outnumbered on here by true UNI fans who hate the Hawkeyes.

Fran already addressed that - the schedule restrictions imposed by Iowa's games with UNI and Drake impeded their ability to schedule UNC, Duke, UK, etc.
