I work a "for fun" job that does court security at Iowa State games. I've talked many times to Haliburton about how good he would look in purple and gold!! He always has great things to say about UNI Basketball. Hell of a player and even a better human being.

    • Dayton destroyed Drake 78-47. The local TV crew pointed out that Drake is 0-3 against teams from Ohio this year and 8-0 against all other opponents. (Cincinnati, Miami of Ohio and Dayton.)

      • Colorado managed to not have a let down game against Colorado State on the road, so they're still somewhat decent at least.

Remember when Drake fans were all bent out of shape about Bowen choosing our terrible offense over Drake's high powered offense? Hahaha

According to Kenpom, we are 65th in adj offensive efficiency. Drake is 248th.

Torvik has it 35 to 260 and Drake is the worst by far in the MVC.

But what they really complain about is how boring and slow we play. Which they are correct in. They average more possessions per game than UNI

            They average 69
UNI averages just 68 per game

            Massive stylistic differences.

I can't imagine why Bowen would pick a program like UNI over the extreme national power known for super high octane offense like Drake.

            • UNI 76.8 points per game
              Drake 68.6 points per game

              more possessions less points. D+

                    • Missouri State was beaten soundly by VCU tonight. The Bears have many issues, the worst being they turn the ball over a ridiculous amount of times. They have athletes but they are not passing or handling the ball well at all.

                      • South Carolina picked up a win against Clemson tonight. Now Clemson isn't any good, but beating not good teams is better than losing to not good teams.

                        • Missouri State already hates each other and its December 16th. Dana Ford can get them to Springfield, the problem is that he can't coach them, scheme appropriately or get them to even fake like they like each other.

It's crazy how a team can have so many chemistry issues.

                            • MSU had so many opportunities to get some decent wins and will finish the non-con with none.

Based purely on resume so far they are a bottom 3rd Valley team. They still scare me a bit if they can start to gel, but it's pretty clear that team is not gonna come anywhere close to all the hype they got during the off-season.

We kicked their ass last year because Dana thought the way to beat us was to slow us down. Lulz. He's trying the same thing again this year.
