Looking Forward

I stubbed my toe on the curb. Am day to day.

Let’s all hope Phyfe’s appointment next week at Mayo goes well. He’s a class act. Was a joy to watch him interact with the kids tonight.

He's 'student administrating' at Hoover this semester and my daughter just raves about how cool he is and how he's always out with the kids and making everybody feel really good about themselves. He's just such a good kid.

Decent crowd, young and old alike. Women’s and men’s players looked like they enjoyed the occasion. Nice temporary BB court setup. Good food trucks and plenty to drink. Ample AD representatives to pass out freebies and run the show. Free T-shirts from Structure Real Estate. Left a bit early, so did not hear Ben speak (if he did?) though did hear him on radio (KCNZ) just prior. Didn’t see Harris, but guess that doesn’t mean he didn’t show. Betz, Duax, Henry looked huge. Anderson looked like he’d grown an inch, but I have no verification of that. Beautiful fall evening. Hope it’s an annual occurrence.

Harris was there. Both head coaches spoke but as usual the sound system sucked, hard to understand them. The court was from Kayba Laube’s back yard! Nice!!! Weather was beautiful!

Seriously seems like the nicest guy. When healthy he's also a first team all conference caliber big. Nothing I want more for him personally than to have one more season.

Main Street Madness was a really good event. Both men's and women's team engaged well with the fans, especially the large number of young kids who were able to be on the court dribbling and shooting with them. Large turnout of fans, new play-by-play guy JW was emcee but we needed large speakers/more volume to hear everything he and the coaches were saying. Three-point shooting contest was interesting with Betz the winner on a very springy hoop. Confident they will do this type of event again next year.

I'm all for engagement! So glad that it went well!

Yes, great event. Needs to be more of these types of things. This is how you build programs and find new fans. Get out and go to them, get creative. Small things are big things.

Great to see something positive for once.

AJ scores 3 points in 12 minutes of play for Milwaukee. Grizzles 107 Bucks 102 in first pre-season game.

1-5 from 3. Gonna have to be better than that to make the team. Only one game though. Four more preseason games left for Bucks.

I think he's going to Oshkosh. He'll make starting lineup there. I think Milwaukee will call him up near the end of the season. Each game in Milwaukee raises his pay.

AJ scores 2 points in 7 minutes of play. Hawks 123 Bucks 113. He appears to be either right at the very last spot in Milwaukee or a superstar in Oshkosh.

AJ's next game is today at 10 AM vs. the Hawks.

Pretty decent game, 12 minutes, 9 points, 3 for 6 from behind the arc, +/- of 12 despite the Bucks losing the game by 9. Best game of this pre-season so far.

He has a decent shot at Milwaukee, now.

Even if not, he'll definitely get said shot at some point this year.
