Those grey uniforms are ugly…..I’d rather see a yellow. I’m not a huge fan of the black we’ve had but I’d take it any day over that grey.

Just saw a tweet about the Phyfe situation and it was the picture that got me. I honestly believe this is the first picture of Austin that I have seen where he doesn't have a huge smile on his face.

Agreed, his health is the priority. I hope all the best to him. He's going to play the real game of life soon.

Phyfe was a pretty good passer who you could run the offense thru on the high post and shot well enough from behind the arc to be a problem, not to mention the lack of depth at the position, this is definitely a blow.

But I also like Henry's ability to pass the ball on a team that doesn't necessarily have a true point. I don't think Phyfe has been available this whole time, so hopefully they have things more in mind with Henry in the lineup. It could be some growing pains, but he really has skills I think that could be special if utilized correctly with a unique blend of athleticism and court vision. There was a time last year when he was the starter on the court he was our main assist guy getting 3-4-5 a game and he did lead the team in assist percentage for the season.

I agree that Henry is a good passer, but if his defender can sag off of him because there’s no threat of him shooting, it severely limits his ability to be effective distributing the ball from the top of the key.

Jake said Henry is much better at this point compared to last year, so let’s hope it’s his shooting and post defense that have improved most.

It sounds like Phyfe is actually doing great with his health. I think it’s the best he’s felt in a long time, but he’s on blood thinners so there’s worry of internal bleeding with hard contact.

If he can work his way off those, he might be in decent shape.

Yes for sure, I should have mentioned his lack of shooting is def a net negative especially considering Phyfe himself can do that as well as pass pretty well and get to the line pretty well.

I just am interested to see if they can untap some of that potential with more time and emphasis.

He took a medical redshirt his Sophomore year. This is his 6th year, so I can't imagine there's anything beyond this.

The uni's in the pics are last year's, right? On the whole I liked that set, though I'm wondering if new ones are on order and just not here yet. IIRC, the womens' greys didn't arrive until sometime in December last year.

I've heard we're keeping the grays from last year and the new whites and purples aren't in yet (they didn't show up until late November last year). Not sure if we've got a 4th or not this year. Hopefully the script 'Northern Iowa' is gone...
