    It would.

But to be clear. It would seem he is leaving for the next step in his career. He wasnt going to get Crawford' job so a coaching job in MN makes a lot of sense.

    • Great for Marc! That's the logical next step for him as he's always wanted to coach and the video coordinator spot was his ceiling here for now. I think he's a future head coach at that level.

You're going by last season WTF... Every season is different. Hell the rules could change. Iowa State is a high seed NIT team next season LOL. That's not even the point, anyways.

Iowa State is a tournament team without AJ and probably a second weekend team again with him. High level transfers, two stud freshmen coming and a wildcard in Lipsey.

TJ gets dudes and Kyle and Blount coach them up. It's a program that has a chance to be pretty consistent going forward.

If green isn’t at least “one of the focal points” of any offense (including duke), he won’t play one minute in the nba. On a side note, he’s played his last minute at pg. Absolutely zero team he goes to will even consider him for that position and that speaks volumes about his last four seasons

Iowa State woulf play he and Williams as two lead combo guards if he goes there but you're not interested in a good faith argument.

                    Two outright regular season titles.

Yeah, we'll see how the three transfers and wet behind the ear Freshman do. They need AJ real bad at this point. Again, it's a moot point you're so adamant about. He is ready to be a pro. Yes, he'll start at a lower level than the NBA.

                      • I guess I am not as high on ISU as you guys. I mean its certainly possible they are a tournament team without AJ. But this year seemed very fluky to me and they lose there 2 best players and only offense.

Sure they are bringing in a core of guys that seem solid but they still return a core of guys who are shall we say are challenged on offense. Will be interesting to see how they perform each year with that defense.

And selfishly I am hoping for Eli King and Lipsey to get over recruited and come to a school up the road a bit.

Problem is that all you have to do is finish in the top 7 of that league and K-State and West Virginia are going to be bad. Just have to be slightly better than one of the Oklahomas or TCU.

And I am a MILLION percent with you on Eli King. All Valley the minute he gets on campus.

                          • Miller and Condon on KXNO were just talking about the NBA Scouting Combine, which is next week. They talked a bit about AJ Green, with Miller saying he heard AJ is definitely going to have to go G League (no Combine invite) to eventually get to the NBA if he left this year, which is not a big surprise. They both had heard Iowa State is still the front runner, and both put the odds of what he does this year as Iowa State 50%, G League 25%, followed by the other choices. Neither claimed to have a big UNI source, more so from those connected to the NBA and probably Iowa State. They brought this up in context of Kris Murray from Iowa climbing up draft boards and getting a last minute Combine invite.

                            • On Twitter some ESPN analyst says AJ is playing May 16-17 on the NBA G League Elite Camp in Chicago with 44 others. Some players may end up at the NBA combine which must be shortly after that.

The combine is the 19th and 20th.
