Is Grandma Heloise, or whatever her name is, still on the sidelines with Loyola? I didn't see the typical 4,006 camera shots of her so far this year.

They finally started calling fouls accordingly in the second half, but by then it was too late.Originally posted by BCPanther View PostLoyola physically assaulted Bradley yesterday. It didn't matter at all in the outcome but what they were allowed to do defensively was striking.
Jake is smart enough to know he's got be in ears from the tip today.

The games that Loyola won (D1 only) had an average of 33 fouls called per game.
Their losses had an average of 41. They want the refs to swallow their whistles.Last edited by not a drake fan; 03-05-2022, 10:22 AM.Yeah, a D+ effort out of me on the day I created the name for this account. I didn't think I would use this account more than once.

Loyola -3, O/U 137. It was 138 an hour ago, so $ coming in on the under. Money line on UNI is +155. The money line is here is not a bad bet, IMO. Lay a few bucks and get some odds.Originally posted by BrockLesnar View PostMarquise Kennedy returned to Loyola's lineup. So, they will have more depth, now. I didn't see the line, but I'm sure they'll be favored.

I did some more digging in this area on from a UNI perspective. What I expected to find was that UNI performs better in games that are tightly reffed. To my surprise I didn't see much evidence of that. UNIs wins averaged 30.8 fouls called; their lossed averaged 31.1.Originally posted by not a drake fan View PostThe games that Loyola won (D1 only) had an average of 33 fouls called per game.

I was then curious if UNIs offense performed better in games that were tightly officiated. Not really - doesn't make much of a difference. Defensively, UNI does give up slightly more points per poesssion when games are tightly reffed, but that coorelation is also weak.
Loyola's offense has actually been slighly worse when games are tightly reffed (weak coorelation). The big difference here is that Loyola's defense is definitely better when the refs call it tight (strongest coorelation of this group).
Loyola actaully fouls the most per posession of any team UNI has played all year (0.260 fouls per posession). Jackson State was second, SIU 3rd, Bradley 4th.
Looked into this because I was curious, figured I might as well share.
