Tywhon wore #14 his junior year and #3 his senior year of HS. Friedman's graduation opens #3 if he wants it.The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice, clouds and thick darkness surround Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. Fire goes before Him, and consumes his foes on every side; His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles; the mountains melt like wax before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim His righteousness and all peoples will see His glory.

Courier article mentions that he hit a couple contested three's down the stretch in a close game, one over a 6'7'' defender. Wish we had video of that!Originally posted by sevelev711 View Post
And the win. 55-54 over City West. And as one (admittedly, local) reporter said, "Green solidifies himself as best player in state with 36..." (emphasis mine)

Apparently AJ and Joe Weiskamp were contacted by LaVar Ball and his new basketball league. Sounds like both turned it down. I have a hard time seeing this league get ANY traction. If it does, it could really hurt big programs in the short term though. To avoid confusion - my username is baseball (Cy Young award) related, NOT for the Cyclones.

The only kids who'll join that league are guys with...for whatever reason...have no other options.Originally posted by CyCarp View PostApparently AJ and Joe Weiskamp were contacted by LaVar Ball and his new basketball league. Anyone with a legit D1 opportunity would be foolish to follow Levar into what will almost surely become a mess. If it does...then where does that leave you?Winning is more fun than losing.

There's a guy in Twitter tracking it. He has at least 40 names of guys offered, none accepted and very few even considering. Can't blame them. Even if the league was a success (huge stretch) in 2-3 years these kids are gonna be looking for something new and without a college education, or the opportunity for a scholarship. There's no way this league ever comes close to happening imo, I just thought it was interesting that AJ was offered.Originally posted by Blue42 View Post

This was a good idea!Originally posted by Khan4Cats View PostRe: Offer Mr. Green! Class of 2018
Kid has always been a shooter. Haven't seen him play much but would guess he has a pretty good basketball IQ. From the video, jeez he looks small (age-wise). Can't wait to see how he develops physically.
Hoping there is an offer there shortly.
