6'2 Stormer 2018 PG AJ Green has been busy talking to Iowa state, Stanford, western Illinois, UNI, Butler, Davidson, and Minnesota.

I get the recruiting game, but why even 'talk' with Western Illinois and Minnesota? ISU, Butler, Stanford, Davidson I get. WIU.....

FWIW, article on AJ, talking about his options. Interesting read, I'm kind of surprised he doesn't have any visits better than Minnesota and Nebraska. Although I guess he really did just blow up within the past few months. Also, it had him ranked as the 20th best PG in his class.

If he doesn't pick UNI it better somewhere outside of the state. Can't stomach the thought of him going to ISU or Iowa

He keeps saying "It's not 100% I'm going to UNI".

Good for him, he needs to make a decision for him - not his dad.

However, that leads me to wonder how high the % towards UNI is right now. To me the repeated use of that wording comes across as >75%.

Maybe that's hopeful on my end

I was kind of thinking the same. I would hope he'd come to UNI over Iowa and Nebraska, but maybe that's my wishful thinking. Wisconsin could be a different story though, they sure love to come in and snag the guys UNI is after...

I'd agree with that. If he doesn't go to UNI, I won't be too upset. If he goes to Iowa, Iowa State, Creighton, WSU or Nebraska I'd have an issue.

Wisconsin, Indiana, Purdue, Michigan, etc...? No issues there.

It all depends on what kind of success Fran/Iowa have the next few years. If their program progresses greatly, then you couldn't blame him if that was his choice. If it remains the same or declines, then your meltdown will be semi warranted. Along with on court wins/losses comes level of recruit too. If Fran brings in a super touted kid or two, that can tip the balance.

Agreed, other than the few years part. We're only 1 year away from the fall signing period for his class, so he'll probably only have this coming year to judge.

Good point. Depends on when he signs, of course, but his class is getting closer than I first thought.
