Coleman, given how Jake runs his program, would never even be recruited and he if was he wouldn't last in the system. The only reason he lasted as long as he did with Jake as HC is because it was only for two seasons, and it was pretty clear by year 2 where Coleman stood with Jake.

Olivier is a recent example of a Coleman type attitude. Doesn't work under Jake.
Yeah, Howard wasn't a shooter, only a rebound guy that would have fouled out. Mckowen, a good shooter/ coach's son/Upper Iowa's Coach. Coleman, a tough match up due to being left handed. He improved his foul shooting at the end. He played out of position (Center) due to lack of depth. He was much better suited at the four spot.

Coleman was back in town during the week of the UNC game helping Coach Jake and the guys with practice. Lets take it easy with the revisionist history and/or mischaracterizations...

Coleman was a great player here during his time, and he would be a great player today.

For as much as you say you've followed UNI closely for years, there are some pretty common things you don't know sometimes.
No, I'm well aware of his football time here. He is hard nosed in the Raiders Oline.

When did Howard actually play in games?

His time ended around spring 2010. He was our tight end. He is 6' 7" 330 28 years old Offensive Tackle for the Raiders. He tried out one season for BB as a grey team forward. I don't believe he saw any action on the court other than a practice game vs. a DII team.

So, what you are saying is you know kind of what the internet tells you. You don't actually know about his time on campus.

No, he is the son of Sharrod Howard. Sharrod was a tight end for Northern Iowa in the mid 80's.

Claw, did you fall asleep? Do I need to slow down? Did you expect me to have a beer on the Hill with both of the Howards?

This is not true. Austin's father is not Sharrod.

You might be thinking of former CF and UNI TE, Darrian (or Dorian) Howard from a couple years ago who transferred to a Florida school...I believe he was the son of Sharrod.

Edit: It's Darion and his father is Sherrod. http://www.fausports.com/sports/m-fo...101513aaa.html

The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice, clouds and thick darkness surround Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. Fire goes before Him, and consumes his foes on every side; His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles; the mountains melt like wax before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim His righteousness and all peoples will see His glory.

Transfers are fine if they are quality kids like Washpun, Jesperson and Rodenberg. As long as Jake evaluates them the same way as high school kids. I really don't want to take in another schools dirty laundry.

Man, ease up a little. It's almost impossible to have a perfect memory regarding obscure, meaningless sporting info from several years ago. Many also don't have the time to research every little detail they're about to post online, or choose not to since their calories/time are better spent elsewhere. If you're going to start evicting people from the UNI fanbase for something so trivial, then have fun filling the fracking West Gym for a game against North Carolina.

If you'd been paying attention to all of his posts since he started posting this type of thing happens a lot with him.

Only knows the basics, though is proficient at regurgitating, what the stat book/quick google results shows. Most of what he gets wrong isn't trivial information. It's stuff that someone who follows UNI as closely as he has claimed in the past would know - remember claims to live in New York, watch every single game, and fly back to Iowa to see multiple games in person yearly.

Not true. If you don't remember what floor Jostens, Viet, McKowen, and Stout lived on as freshmen, you aren't welcome here. Beat it, nerds.

Austin was an undrafted free agent out of UNI, the other info is pretty accurate.
