Darrell Brown out for Bradley tonight. It'll be interesting to see how they play without him.

Little bit of Bubble watch, good day for the "sure thing B1G teams" beating "bubble B1G teams," (according to Lunardi, who last updated on Friday (a reminder that he has us in the play-in game, in Dayton) Short version: A lot of the teams around us lost recently, which is good.
One of the last four in, who we'd be playing Dayton, Minnesota, took a big loss at home to Michigan State. Essentially nullifies their win @ Ohio State, and they're outside looking in again.
Indiana, a 9 seed, lost at home to Maryland by 1. Won't kick them out but will drop them a bit, and take away margin for error.
Memphis lost at home to SMU, they were a 10 seed but have been in free fall, they'll likely be out.
BYU lost yesterday to San Fran, and they were a "last four byes" team.
Liberty, fellow last 4 in team, lost, and they have a long ways to climb back in, if they ever do. They might've had their bubble pop.
The last of the "last four in" includes Oklahoma, who won against Mississippi State.
It's gonna be hard to see where we are in relation to the bubble as we're likely going to have the auto-bid in most brackets. But it still wouldn't be bad to pay attention to and root against teams around the bubble.

Thanks for this post. I appreciate knowing who to root against this time of the year. Hopefully we'll take care of business in St. Louis, get the auto bid and it won't matter, but just in case it's nice to know who to root against. Thanks again for taking the time to type it all up!

Ya Liberty lost twice last week to BAD teams. Like, one team is 20 spots behind SIU in KenPom, so still something they could recover from, the other is outside the top 300 for KenPom. They won't be able to recover from that in the conference they're inOriginally posted by sevelev711 View PostLittle bit of Bubble watch, good day for the "sure thing B1G teams" beating "bubble B1G teams," (according to Lunardi, who last updated on Friday (a reminder that he has us in the play-in game, in Dayton) Short version: A lot of the teams around us lost recently, which is good.

I'm not sure how to add an image from my phone, but Arch Madness seeding probabilities have us 65% for the 1 seed and 88% for a top 2 seed.
To avoid confusion - my username is baseball (Cy Young award) related, NOT for the Cyclones.

Sounds about right. Bradley and Loyola still have to play each other twice and SIU has to go on the road to Chicago and Peoria (and CF). We can stumble and not get the one seed, but we'd have to stumble and someone else would have to ball out hard in order for UNI to not get at least the second.Originally posted by CyCarp View PostI'm not sure how to add an image from my phone, but Arch Madness seeding probabilities have us 65% for the 1 seed and 88% for a top 2 seed.

It hurts rooting for the Hawkeyes, like a lot. Like... a lot a lot. But they're safely in the tournament while Wisconsin is a bubble team. So it probably helps us for Iowa to keep beating teams like Wisconsin. Didn't see the ending, wouldn't be surprised if the Badgers got hosed, but that does benefit us. Don't shed too many tears.

Looking closer at the NET, it's insane how nicely it's treating the B1G though.
Some D1 records for example:
No. 19 OSU 13-7
No. 31 Wisco 12-9
No. 35 Mich 11-8
No. 36 Purdue 11-9
No. 43 Minn 11-9
No. 49 UNI 15-3
At what win total will the committee draw the line for these teams? None of the above seem to be trending for a tourney worthy recordLast edited by MNpanthers; 01-28-2020, 10:53 AM.

IIRC a B10 team that has hit 9, maybe it's 10, conference wins has never missed the NCAA tournament.
Wisconsin is at 5 right now with 10 games left
Nebraska, Purdue (at home which is a big deal for Purdue because they aren't great away from home), Michigan who has been poor in B10 play, Minnesota twice, Northwestern who is bad, Indiana, Ohio State who is real real bad in B10 play
There are at least 5 wins left, if not 6 or 7. In no world, outside of going 3-7 down the stretch is Wisconsin getting left out.
