Keeping AJ is the big plus, obviously, but getting some fresh blood in for the bigs coach, right as we're getting a high floor seven footer, is a move that could either flounder or lead to sustained success. Add in that we don't necessarily need his Minneapolis ties as we're already kinda good there, if they want to splurge a bit for a quality recruiter, that could be a move that pays off dividends. But again, a lot of "coulds."
Would we get fresh blood in to coach the bigs? Wouldn't they move Tuttle up?

    • Greg Lansing to Cedar Falls to replace Kyle, if it happens that way?

      Half-serious here.

Hasn’t it been mentioned here that he and Jake are friends? He’d also know the conference intimately, and may have some new recruiting contacts/territory.

Well that's an interesting thought. He grew up in Iowa, and seems to have a very good relationship with Jake. I wonder if he's even be open to being an Assistant. FWIW, he was one of the lower paid mid major coaches ($250k).

And knowing Indiana State he probably only got the full $250k if he agreed to drive the bus and sold enough chocolate bars.

I would fully support this, but I doubt it would actually happen.

In this hypothetical situation, it would be a home run hire for sure. Although if Green does leave I would think a promotion of PJ most likely. And then maybe Tuttle to the staff? Not sure there.

                • Seth has a baby on the way now. Gotta think he's wanting job security somewhere.

And they owned it -- all of it -- for the world to see. Like men. Like leaders. Like champions -- in a way no tournament bracket could ever define."

If he's wanting job security/stability, he's looking at the wrong profession.

                      • There's been talk about the Madsen twins, this might be why they weren't in Cincinnati very long...

Cincinnati announced that it is investigating allegations into its men’s basketball program.
Sources told @Stadium that some players have already been interviewed regarding treatment by the coaching staff.

                        • If they want a coaching staff to respect them, hard to go wrong with UNI. Juuuust saying.

It's really weird what is going on here. Absolutely no one is saying there is abuse. No racist stuff whatsoever. It just seems to be a communication problem. I've heard Brannen doesn’t talk to the players off the court. I heard one time he wouldn't get on an elevator with another player. I've also heard he won't involve the parents in the program. He won't let them have the players over for team dinners. It's all very weird.

I can’t find the video I saw but Brannen walked off the court well before the game was over when Cincy got routed by Houston in their conference championship game. It looked awful.

                              • I think Loyola played their best game of the season last week vs Illinois and their worst game is going on right now. Ugly
