Bo and Heisei both stated that they stayed their committed four years here -- so that's their take on it. They gave us four years, which is all they expected to give.

"Exhausted" is a good word. The pace and volume of player transfer messes with my emotion and even my memory about players.

Ben Schwieger just posted his goodbye to Loyola about 20 minutes ago. Tuttle and G are both following him on social media and we are obviously recruiting him. Kind of seems like that's what's coming...

Same thing happened to hutty and seemed to do alright. Now, is this the homerun I was hoping for? No, but I will give him a year and see what he brings

Schwieger will be a big step up for us from Wolf or Duax. He scores at a higher level and can defend. He wasn’t utilized properly at Loyola — see Hutson. He will fit in great here. How many 6’7 wings are there in this league?

There are more additions coming. This roster needed a turnover and we’re getting it at a time where the league will be wide open. Let the staff fill the roster and then react. I’m confident they will put together a nice squad. He already gives us more size and length than we’re used to which will be great at the defensive end and for rebounding.

If we land another wing or two that can create this team can absolutely win the league. Big things coming for our Panthers.

His game does seem to be a good fit for the system we run, but he's definitely not a guy who appears to get his own shot. His game actually reminds me quite a bit of Nate with the way he plays. Lots of highlights of good back door cuts and he's a solid shooter from outside. He seems to have a good amount of athleticism as well. Some pretty good dunks.

I do worry about our overall team speed, still. We have to get faster especially if we want our defense to keep up.

TBH, I think Schwieger is a pretty nice get, but at the same time, I can't help being a little disappointing that it's still the exact same type of guy we always get. He's an upgrade over Duax or Wolf, but probably not Heise or Bowen. On the bright side, he's a guy who should be ready to contribute right away and we still have scholarships to fill. Let's get a DUDE. On another note, hopefully this settles a lot of the "we're not connected to anybody" worries down. The coaches are working, I'm certain they're reaching out to a lot of guys. We didn't hear about Schwieger until now, I suspect there will be other similar signings.

Maybe I’m alone on these takes but here goes:

Losing Born is going to be addition by subtraction. I loved him as a Panther early on but these last couple of seasons have been tough. When he’s hitting shots he’s great, but it’s a case of score 20 and give up 25. He couldn’t defend at this level. He was too small. He always gave it 100% and I’ll always respect that, but Taylor is already a much better defender and will become a decent scorer for us. Born will always be one of the most overrated players in our program.

Losing Heise hurts but not as badly as some may think. He was a great defender but most of his scoring was off of set shots and back door cuts for layups/dunks. That can be taught. He was a solid Panther but wasn’t someone who was going to take over games. He will be missed but let’s not pretend we just lost Jeremy Morgan.

Both are great people and did good things here and I thank them for that, but we needed change and we’re getting it. I see a couple more dominos coming soon. Fingers crossed.
