    Bad in what way?[/QUOTE]

Some teams were quoted as saying there was nothing to do there. The tennessee players were saying that there was nothing to see but cows, barns, and farms. Baylor players complained about no places to eat or something? They said everything closed at 9pm and there was no where to go for entertainment in their down time? So it got some mixed reviews, but that shouldn't be that big of deal.

ok, there are a ton of great places to eat in Des Moines BUT few are open after 9. Sambetti's is just up the road from Wells Fargo Arena and has the best cavatelli in town. But you have to be 21 to get in I believe because it is a bar. And if you aren't 21 and can't drink, Des Moines is not nearly as fun.

Not sure why players are worried about night life when they are playing in some of the biggest games of their lives...

Maybe, but so am I, so it's a good match. Besides, those acts 30 years past their prime are still 10 times better than any current day bands.

The traffic was ****ing stupid when we were there. Almost got rear-ended by a semi. It was nuts. He was just going to plow people out of the way.
That isn't the reason the NCAA has given. DSM failing to get a men's second/third round has nothing to do with the size of the building. This is one of those stupid things people keep repeating to each other despite it being completely untrue.

If DSM has a problem, the problem is a lack of hotels in immediate proximity to the building.

WFA is fine for all intended purposes. DSM will get a men's second/third round at some point, if for no other reason than the metro has proven that it will show up for an event.

Must be a misprint, I'm sure it's supposed to be North Carolina.

PAC-12 drops BigTen for all sports scheduling.

Another opportunity for Fran to schedule UK or Duke.

Well, its looks like Iowa is going to get their "scheduling flexibility" back, right 9yr?

Iowa should be looking for another home/home to replace the Pac12 series. I will expect a series with a national power will be announced soon.

They didn't drop them for "all sports scheduling". They chose not to follow through with a league-wide agreement. Big Ten teams will still play OOC games against PAC-12 teams.

                          Huh?

The Big Ten and Pac-12 announced Friday that they were scrapping plans to schedule games against each other in all sports
Obviously, teams are "banned" from scheduling against the Pac12 if that's what you are saying, but they will be doing so on their own.

It is exactly what I explained it to be. I can type more slowly, but the effect of doing so is limited.

                            • Ok, News. I don't know what the point would be of pointing that out. Quite clearly, as evidenced by the article that Trapped linked, the discussion was about the dropping of the all-sports scheduling plans that had previously been laid out.

But maybe Trapped should have "typed more slowly", so that YOU could understand.

I understood. I think his statement was unclear. They haven't stopped, or "dropped", scheduling, they cancelled a league-wide scheduling plan. Failing to explain or make clear that it was only the league agreement that changed is incomplete and potentially misleading.

This isn't complicated or controversial. Feel free to be a jerk about it, however.
