The Power 6 conferences as a whole are mediocre this year. Because of this you won't see mid major teams get any at large bids. Not that they have been getting them as a whole the past 5-10 years, but when everyone is mediocre the common thought is that it must be that everyone is good, very often that is not the case. No team in the top 15 should ever lose a game by over 30 points.

Not calling you out specifically because I would have thought the same. Must be mostly a B10 thing because Ken Pomeroy just tweeted the below.Originally posted by DownGoesKansas View Post
Yes, mediocrity through the conference is a worst case scenario for us.
I don't have numbers to back this up but as an observer it seems like home court winning % is much higher this year. Could be way off though IDK. But all teams in the money conferences need to do is win a decent amount of their home games and they are in, Crooked system

What’s funny is that road teams have a higher winning percentage in conference games this season than all but 2 other seasons in NCAA history. (And UCLA has already lost to 279 and 142 at home.)

Ya, but the reality is in the B1G there have been 6 road wins in conference play so far. 2 of them are at Northwestern, and a third was at Nebraska. And it's not even like these are mostly close games. Teams regarded as "good teams" are getting blown out, and that shouldn't be happening if they are good teams. Good teams should be losing games by 20-30 points to anyone.Originally posted by UNIAlum2010 View Post

As an example of the B10 thing with H/R split. Purdue as beat Virginia by 29 a home lost by 27 on the road to Illinois then beat Michigan State by 29 at home
The H/R win % being so high this year is shocking to hear. The b10 road wins don't happen. The MVC has been even more home team dominated than it usually is outside of Evansville.

Please provide a link where Syracuse is a 4 seed.Originally posted by hoopfan View Post
I think Syracuse beat an average Virginia team this weekend to get back to 8-7 on the year. The selection committee immediately slotted Syracuse into a 4-seed because they are over .500 and Syracuse. UNI likely needs to win their next 6 games, maybe more, to break into the top 25.
