Correct, Henry and Betz have not panned out. Courbat does not appear ready. I hope Phyfe comes back, but he might move on.Last edited by BrockLesnar; 04-14-2022, 12:45 AM.

Is he a U.S. citizen?Originally posted by CyCarp View PostPer Cole Bair...
Have confirmed that Dayton F/C Moulaye Sissoko visited .@UNImbb this past weekend.
Sissoko, who came to the US from Mali at 16, averaged 2.4 points and 2 rebounds in 30 games this season (7 minutes per game).
He’s listed at 6’9” 240 and has three years of eligibility remaining.

I think Cole still has the potential to fill a role, but he might need another year yet. He could do what Luke McDonnell did, if not better. Cole is more physical and a better athlete than Luke.Originally posted by BrockLesnar View Post

I want Cole Henry to pan out, and I really liked the way he looked early in the year, but he just cannot shoot the ball at all. He's had a couple years on campus now, and there doesn't appear to be much if any growth in that department. He doesn't appear to have any touch around the basket either. I'm just not sure what role he fills at this point.Originally posted by Wxcpanther View Post

He's a great passing big, but the passing would be much more effective if he was any threat offensively. We need a big even if Austin is coming back. I hope we get this guy.

I think so too. I'm not ready to write him off but he needs to bust butt over the summer. You are exactly right that he is a better athlete than Luke was and he has a better body type to really be a physical presence in the post.Originally posted by Wxcpanther View Post

Thought Cole played really well in the stretch of the season where he was getting regular minutes. Handles the ball well, great passer, scored inside and rebounded well.Originally posted by Wxcpanther View Post

Latter part of the season his minutes were so limited it felt like when he did get in, he was playing too fast.
I think he's got a lot left to contribute.Winning is more fun than losing.

What has been strange to me is how someone who is as good of passer and athletic freak as Cole is, he doesn't know how to finish around the rim, you would think that he would be able to dunk more in a game then he does, and never gets an easy shot around the rim to fall, often times putting himself into a harder shot. I don't know if it is spatial awareness or what.

He did play HS at Oskaloosa where Xavier Foster was set at the rim and low post. He may be more comfortable / natural higher up in the paint.Originally posted by achrist70 View PostWhat has been strange to me is how someone who is as good of passer and athletic freak as Cole is, he doesn't know how to finish around the rim, you would think that he would be able to dunk more in a game then he does, and never gets an easy shot around the rim to fall, often times putting himself into a harder shot. If u ever saw that Osky team play, both Foster and Henry spent a lot of time well outside the paint.Originally posted by BobCat View Post

It was actually kind of puzzling...they could have simply dominated in the paint but they played like guards much of the game.Winning is more fun than losing.

Sy Chatman back in the portal. Productive player when healthy for the Redbirds. I know UNI had interest out of high school but I'm not sure if they were in when he left UMASS. Would have to have a waiver to play right away I believe.Yeah, a D+ effort out of me on the day I created the name for this account. I didn't think I would use this account more than once.

Yea, Chatman is a good player (when he's actually on the floor), but from what I gather, personality-wise, he's basically the opposite of what Jake looks for.To avoid confusion - my username is baseball (Cy Young award) related, NOT for the Cyclones.
