Yep and that number just kind of reset with the league losing it's two highest paid guys.

I believe that Wardle is now the highest paid at $825k with Hendo, Nagy and Miller in the next tier (lol).

It’s the new way. A lot of coaches are starting to do a little less on their salaries in exchange for greater commitments to NIL. Gotta have the dudes if you want to win games.

I guess I still think Kyle Green. He was made Associate Head Coach in 2017 and I think the anticipation was that the AJ/Phyfe years ('00,'01,'02) would get Coach Jake a P5 offer by 2022. The AJ/Phyfe injuries derailed that. Michele is still practicing in Cedar Falls, which why, if Kyle was planning on a long stay in L'Ames?

UNI is a good head coach position, but if Green is successful here, I see him moving on quicker than either Ben did or Seth would.

I want to believe that Ben had discussed plans about leaving with a few of his coaches and UNI leadership and provided a succession plan in advance. I don’t think he wants to take everyone (coaches and players) with him that will leave UNI struggling the next season and beyond. If he does that, then UNI must have done him wrong somewhere along the road.

I think the world of KG as a coaching, but I don't buy him as a head coach, and I absolutely think he would leave the first chance he got. Tuttle would be here longterm as long as things go well, and is ready for this job. I have no doubts about him.

Would Tuttle likely run all of the same things on the court as what Jake did?

Offensively yes, it's been Tutt's offense the last few years. There might be some tweaks that Jake maybe said no to, but it'll be very similar. I would be curious what his defensive strategy would be, though.

Are Jake’s benefactors still on board? That 500k difference from Jake’s salary would go along way towards roster building. In which case they would probably demand that Tuttle gets the job. I don’t think he’s ready for that, but I would probably take it for 500k a year in NIL. They’d want Tuttle to be successful after all, and that would go a long way towards ensuring that.

I expect that core group to remain in place, assuming it's Tuttle, with the funds divided differently as you implied

                        I’d be ok with that.

Not a good day for coaches in the Cedar Valley

He's just quitting because there's a giant talent dip coming there.
