I don't understand why the original thread was locked? The moderators on this board are starting to take their job way too seriously.

Oh wait, I guess that was kind of like talking negative about a moderator, maybe this thread will be locked too.

Everybody was just mad because there were two types of people in the last thread.

The people who were not happy with UNI basketball at the end of December and are willing to admit it, and the people that were not happy with UNI basketball at the end of December and were not willing to admit it. If you were one of the latter, just keep lying to yourself and everyone else on the board.

I think this will be my third post on this thread Mr. Jegbomb, I was enjoying the discussion, and hated to see it end. So no, I was actually not trying to "show" anybody anything in particular.... and I find it hard to believe that this was the dumbest thing you have ever seen

So your telling me with one sentance that you "didn't doubt his coaching", but then the next sentence say "he just needs time to get a little more head coaching experience."

So Mr. Ben Jacobsons best friend, are you happy with the way he is coaching, or does he need more experience?

He was not contradicting himself one bit here. Just because Jake has room to grow as a coach, name one coach in history that hasn't had room to grow/gain experience, does not mean that people can't have faith in his coaching

To say that the people who were arguing that Jake was doing a good job at the end of December were lying is stupid.

I was happy with UNI basketball at the end of December. We were playing at a high level and we were competitive except for one and a half games (Marquette and second half against Iowa). Games we lost were lost because of correctable errors, not because we were getting blown off the court because of some kind of talent gap. Our guys (players and coaches) have done a great job of learning from the early season and adjusting their games and effort to step up to do what it takes to win.

The difference in the two sides arguing at the end of December is that those that were on the side of being "happy" are able to see that they were right in placing faith in this program and all UNI fans can enjoy the success this team is having.

as I said earlier, two kinds. Those that can admit it, and those that can't.

Of course Khan, I am sure you were "happy" with a 6-6 start after going to the NCAA tournament 3 of the last 5 years. Losing by 30 to Marquette and getting embarrassed at our "billboard" state university (who is having a not so good year themselves.)

I am really happy, and surprised that our team is doing so well. Like I said before, I will support this team regardless. But, if you truly think there were people "happy" or "satisfied" with a 6-6 start, we are going to have to agree to disagree.
