I might be a little too harsh on Illinois State, he's recruited okay and he's got a good reputation as an offensive coach so they may be a couple slots higher.

Evansville belongs in D3. Period. They finish last in everything and Southern Indiana is going to pass them quickly in their own city. The only thing keeping them DI is fact they were good for a while in the 60s and then again in the early 90s when the MCC was falling apart.

This is honestly one of the best troll jobs I’ve seen on this board.

        let’s talk why.
1.says stuff that is so stupid it’s actually funny
2.only 11 posts im since joining the message board in 2019. The ability to only troll at that level and not over post is honorable.
        3. a guy with zero offers and only got a scholarship offer because of family history and $ is the person who’s going to be better than AJ lol.

it’s so we’ll done, I’m being completely honest. Most ppl don’t have the patients to pull off a troll job this long with having so little involvement in topics.

At this point, let's hear it out. I'm willing to take a second look at it.

I've heard screening the screener works well for basketball, but is trolling the troller good on basketball forums?

            • Projected lineup:

              Born
              Heise
Duax needs to not be shy
              Anderson
              Phyfe unless decides otherwise

              Kimmons
              Wolf
              Campbell grow up quick kid
              Henry
              portal transfer

              Betz
              Courbat
              Daniel
              Krugman
              Walkon

Another open ride that might carryover to 23-24. Another serviceable portal transfer would change the lineup.

Hard to predict order of finish MVC. We'll see about the transfers.

We have to see step changes in Heise (started strong, played good d throughout, needs to be at least 10ppg), Kimmons (can't be a role player anymore, has to fix his offensive game), Henry (he's got spend all summer working with Tuttle on his game in the post - Phyfe 2.0), and Anderson (showed flashes and has to develop to be a contributor on both ends of the court).

And boy are we going to need big, consistent performances from two unknowns in Duax and Wolf to compete for a title.

A healthy Phyfe and we are a really tough team. 2021/22 Phyfe and we are going to be playing for a top four seed to stay out of the expanded Thursday lineup.
If computers ruled college basketball the way they do football, we'd have skipped all this March Madness monotony and just waited a month for the Kansas-Kentucky title game. And watched Northern Iowa play Cornell in the Poulan Weedeater Bowl. ~ Dwight Perry The Seattle Times

All of this is legit, BUT, we need to utilize the portal like everyone else. Go find a scorer or two. You’re not going to compete with Big Ten and Big Twelve schools, but there are a lot of players out there and not all can get Big Twelve offers and six figure NIL deals. There are shooters out there, go find them.

I agree, Phyfe is going to be the difference between top 4 and no bye. Two more portal guys would be great, but need at least one. Henry has decent size, but he has to learn more and shoot much better. He's a decent passer and rebounder, though. Yes, Kimmons has a long way to go. He has a good attitude, though. Nice kid all around. Nice kids on the rest of the team too, but nice only works outside of the hoops game. We'll see...

You’re assuming he’s going to Iowa State. I wouldn’t assume anything until he signs something. If someone offers him well into six figures in a NIL deal, and Iowa State’s booster types can’t compete, then the dad angle might get **** canned pretty quick. Can’t blame him either if that happens. He’ll have a bunch of big programs interested, who will be losing players themselves, and looking to make quick moves in a game of musical chairs.

IMO, about the only semi-certain thing in all of this is he won’t get drafted this year. I’ve looked through a few mock drafts this season and have yet to see him mentioned. Also, why play in the G league if he can make double/triple/quadruple that by staying in college? Other than that, this whole thing is an extremely fluid situation.

                            My favorite non-Jake head coach.

Kinda feels like he sees the Sixers job opening. He's only 60 which is crazy young in coaching years.

Also, this probably makes freaking Creighton the preseason favorite in the Big East. Today hasn't been a great day in PantherLand...

Contract law enables players to be paid more than $100,000 in the G League. One side has to offer and the other side accept. The consideration exchange is negotiated. Not implying that's what AJ makes next season, but it can happen. In the end his NBA critique will help make the decision.

We might be seeing more of this with NIL. A different type of recruiting
