It could also be that Noah just wants to gauge if there's any interest in him from bigger schools. If I recall, he was hurt for a lot of his junior year of HS and didn't get a lot of recruiting offers-nothing bigger than us. Maybe he wants to see now that he has 2 years of college tape out if any other opportunities are there-especially since with this year not counting, he would still have 3 years to play. He can always withdraw his name and come back, so no reason to jump too far ahead.

Good points. Until more comes out, if anything, this is as logical an answer as you’ll find. He did well here, so wish him the best.Originally posted by MNpanthers View PostYea let's relax until we know more. Most likely case is Noah felt he could make a bigger impact and be the star somewhere else. Assuming no one else is transferring, I'd say he's 100% right to feel that way.
I'll be cheering him on wherever he goes.

In a way, yes. But we’ve still had some nice moments, just unable to seal the deal:Originally posted by Schack View Post
It's basically been pretty rough since the A&M game.
2019 unexpected run to Arch Madness final was fun, only to have refs 8 FT plus the ball cost us at least a chance to finish the game.
2020 Regular season run to the title was very awesome, had season POY, just laid an egg in STL.
2021 was liking how we were playing so who knows without bogus MVC/STL board of health debacle. Every team runs across a year where injury ruins their season, and this was our first since 2011 when late injury to Lucas O’Rear derailed what would have been a great finish.
Starting to think this is how Illinois State felt around 2008-2010. 2008 had a chance at an at large before getting boatraced by Cox and Korver (everyone just remembers Emmeneker) in MVC final, 2009 lost to us in the final in a double (?) OT thriller, and 2010 being up on us by like 15 in the final before we stormed back on our way to “You’ve got to be kidding me with that shot!”
I love Noah and will miss his energy and attitude, but hopefully we at least break even in the transfer market and we’re still set up for a great year next year.

But to your original point and thinking of the glass half empty with my Illinois State comparison over their 3 heartbreaking years, it’s not like they recovered from that and had a lot of success in later years... Hopefully we have the coach and the players to bounce back.Originally posted by Schack View PostGood summary. I appreciate it.

Nate Reuvers (a 6’11” center) just transferred from Wisconsin. He got a lot of minutes there, but would probably be considered a disappointment. He is a Lakeville, MN native, so I wonder if we had interest initially or would now. He struggled with some of the bigger bodies in the big ten but I imagine he would do pretty well in the valley.

Aj staying if his dad goes to clownville? Lol. Get a clueOriginally posted by CyCarp View Post
What I've read is AJ would likely stay at UNI, even if Kyle goes to Iowa State. I also don't think Noah and AJ played together before, at least not organized ball. Noah played a few games with the Barnstormers, but I think it was after AJ was already gone.
Living in Dubuque, when he initially committed here I heard rumors that his dad was kind of like Juwan McClouds dad (oddly, he's probably the last starter who transferred out), but it was just rumor. Noah seemed fine in his time here. Hearing that does make me wonder if he just wants to transfer up and play at the highest level he can, but again pure speculation on my part. I don't mean to bash the kid, just saying what I heard back then, I don't know if there's any truth to it. Nothing really makes sense, Coach Jake raved about him and his work over the summer, so I have a hard time believing there's a rift between him and coaches. We can talk about the coaches interviewing elsewhere, but I don't really see it. Jake is still here and can't imagine a guy leaving because an Assistant leaves. Imo, a lot will tell where he transfers to.

That’s what the Des Moines Register reported in their article. Not sure what the source or reasoning for writing it was or how accurate it is, but it’s not like this is just being pulled from nowhere.Originally posted by Mudrafan View Post
