The more I see from the family on Twitter the more I’m ok/happy he decided to leave. Noah is and was a great player on this team. At times he was the best player and the rest of the time he was the 2nd or 3rd best player. It’s a huge loss but the clown show I’m seeing on Twitter it’s amazing. Tweets from his family quoting the final score from the byu game with just waving hands is telling. As ppl have mentioned, it’s sad that these are the people surrounding him. It’s perfectly ok for Noah or his family to think he’s better than UNI because they have that right but it sure is telling of a person’s character. It’s not that he’s just seeking another opportunity that I say that but it’s the things being said on the way out. Ppl who forget where they came from or the people that helped them along when no one else believed in them and then talk down about them as they advance are not ppl you want around.

Green is ready to go pro and should do so. Who knows about injuries. He probably starts in the G league, but should make the NBA fairly soon after that. Yeah, he has some improvements to make, but he admits it. Until late in the season I didn't think he would make it, but he worked hard and earned what he will receive.Originally posted by BCPanther View PostIf AJ decides to go pro, this board is really going to handle it well. You're probably right.
I look forward to r&b's full NBA analysis.
With what Matthew Bain reported, it sure seems like it's either here or money.
Fwiw, the girlfriend won't graduate until May 2023.
Probably should cut football and get some more money into basketball. Maybe a practice facility where Jake can dedicate the time to reach more than one person to inbound ball the ball in big games.
Uni basketball doesn’t need nba analysis. Nobody has ever logged a minute of game play in the nba. I doubt green will. He can’t rebound or play defense or create his own shot at that level. A great talent at the college level and maybe Europe if he likes that lifestyle.
the G League pays next to nothing unless you get a two way nba contract.

most here have learned to take your opinion and flush it so I’m not sure why you keep coming back? Do you just find joy in being an ogre?Originally posted by run&blade View PostNot making tournament is why Carter left.

Who would you put in front? I really tried to think back on best athletes, it's in general a short list. Obviously a lot of great players, just not a lot like Noah. And maybe part of it is he was just so much more willing to go for a dunk at any opportunity.Originally posted by clenz View PostThat’s just not true.

I tell you what, this run St Peters is on really makes me miss our defense being great. Really good, strong, lock down, physical defense keeps you in games against anybody, the Peacocks are proving that. Loyola and Wichita were the same way on their good runs when they were in the Valley, very strong defensively. It's not pretty, but we NEED to get back to that.To avoid confusion - my username is baseball (Cy Young award) related, NOT for the Cyclones.

You realize Jake has been on campus longer than a number of juniors at semis at UNI have been alive right?Originally posted by Wxcpanther View Post

I’ll keep it to just guys he was the HC of though - and keep in mind this isn’t “success” as a player in uniform. It’s just athletic ability. That was your standard (I’d also argue a number of these guys have a better combo of athletic ability and success as a player than Noah
Berhow
Kimmons
Henry
Brown
Wentzien
Morgan
Ashton
Washpun
Mitchell
Tuttle
Singleton
Sonnen
James
Lyle
Ahelegbe
A. Koch
Reed
Coleman
Montgomery
T. Brown
Also has guys like Wolf, BJ Ray and god damn NFLer Everette Pedescleaux in uniform from the football team with Jake as HC - Jake missed Austin Howard on the team by 1 season as HC. Honestly, I wouldn’t fight someone putting AJ and Bowen above him.
I think you are greatly over estimating the raw athletic ability of Noah simply because he has played with more outward emotion than most any other player. In terms of athletic ability he’s probably the same basic level as Jake Koch, and Jake was 5 times the player Noah was in a Panther uniform.
Noah was different than other Panthers under Jake because of his attitude. I’m not saying he has no athletic ability. I’m saying it was easy for fans to over estimate it because he was one of the few we’ve had in uniform willing to dunk and then flex/pose/scream after it so it looked really athletic. He’s also 6’6 230-240lbs. So dunking it and making the hoop shake a bit doesn’t take a ton of effort, but again we haven’t had guys who could do that actually do it so it looks super impressive to our fan base.
Again, not a shot at Noah. I’m not one of those that’s going to down play his ability and what he did here. I’m looking strictly at the “second most athletic player to ever play under Jake” statement, and the idiocy behind it.

And if the family doesn’t think that future coaches won’t take notice of that, they’re delusional. It’s clear that they are backseat drivers. You think a P5 coach wants to deal with that?Originally posted by unipanther2154 View PostThe more I see from the family on Twitter the more I’m ok/happy he decided to leave. That seemed to change overnight, around when Tuttle got there. We used to have this suffocating defense and low-scoring offense and still win that way, but then all the sudden the coaching staff switched to playing with much more pace.Originally posted by CyCarp View PostI tell you what, this run St Peters is on really makes me miss our defense being great. A lot of these fast teams like Gonzaga can win by simply increasing the number of chances to score. But that only works if you have elite athletes. Teams like St Peter’s—and UNI—could “do more with less” by defense because it arguably takes less athleticism. I would personally love to see the defense-focused style again because it maximizes the athleticism that we do have.

Agreed. Even when Tuttle we here, we had great defense and I believe top 10 in the country offensive efficiency. We didn't run, we weren't going to put up 70+ a game consistently, but we were still really good offensively.Originally posted by QCPanther05 View Post

Forget being jealous of the def getting St. P to the eight…. Don’t kid yourselves, it is old school UNI defense that got ISU to the big dance and the Sweet 16. Their athletes aren’t great so they went old school defense this season. As Coach MacD said when he arrived on campus, play nose to nose defense, keep the score around 50 (prob more with today’s rules) and you will have a chance to win, no matter who you’re playing.
