Reading comprehension is a nice skill to have...

Go back and re-read my post. I wrote (and I'm paraphrasing here) that "if AJ decides to play in a Power 5 conference (with the implication being that would leave UNI out of the running), that makes me wonder if the UNI coaching staff could or would possibly steer AJ to Ames, as opposed to a different Power 5 program, depending on whether or not they have close connections with that staff"

In no way, shape or form did I suggest that Jake would or should encourage a prize recruit to go to Iowa State over UNI, provided both schools are on equal footing at this point in the process. Frankly, I wonder why you jumped to that conclusion in the first place.

I don't see it. If he goes to Wisconsin, Iowa St... do you think he starts at the point from day 1? As a freshman at a school like that, there's probably a good chance he gets limited time. Whereas he'd be pretty much guaranteed a good chunk of playing time at UNI. If Juwan turns into a stud, why wouldn't he want to play next to him and learn from him?

AJ can play the 2 guard some too. You could very easily have this as your 2018 guard court :
        PG: Juwan/AJ
        SG: Spencer/AJ
        WG: Brown/2017 recruit

I think there are enough minutes to give AJ at least 20 minutes as a true freshman, split between Juwan and Spencer at the 1-2 positions and keep everyone fresh.
The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice, clouds and thick darkness surround Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. Fire goes before Him, and consumes his foes on every side; His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles; the mountains melt like wax before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim His righteousness and all peoples will see His glory.

I would think that Juwan would also be an appealing practice partner. Someone to sharpen you in practice. Yes, AJ will find that elsewhere. He has to know he's not going to find a better coach than Jake.
If he decides to go elsewhere, I would guess it is because of the elsewhere, not the elsewho. Maybe he wants a particular field of study that he can find at some other school better. Ok. Some people move away from Iowa because they want the ocean.
          But I hope he stays.

Cuz I'm pretty sure Jake doesn't want to hear the media in Iowa talk about how the 3 star son of his assistant is at ISU vs his program for 4 years.
Winning is more fun than losing.

I see Wisconsin got a commitment from Tyler Herro (2018) a 4 star recruit at shooting guard. Having Brad Davison (2017) signed at point guard along with Kobe King (2017) at shooting guard.

Hopefully this backs Wisconsin away from AJ. They only have one spot open and I'm guessing it will go to a post. Even though I remember one summer almost having Josh Gasser and someone from Wisconsin was kicked off the team. I think we would have had Doug McDermott, Josh Gasser, and Seth Tuttle in that class. I love the guys we have and have had, but we have been very close to bringing in that next level talent.

losing Morgan will be a huge blow. We don't have talent like him on this team & are a program that needs an impact player on both ends to keep maintaining this level. We didn't backfill the PG position & it is showing this year. We needed a JC lead guard to bridge the gap until McCloud is ready to take that step. Having role players in starting positions, like the program used to have, won't get it done.

I just looked quickly and couldn't figure out to "ignore" someone's posts. Any help would be appreciated as I'm done with this clown.

They're hot on Joey Hauser, I'm worried AJ is their backup plan if they don't get Hauser.

McCloud has potential, no doubt. You're underplaying that. He's a true frackin' freahman, for God's sake. Give him some time. If the response is, the future is now, then shame on the coaching staff for not having a Wes/Deon fill in on the bench. That's definitely not McCloud's fault. Lohaus does some nice things, but he's never been that guy, and it's not his strong suit.

Read the post...slowly. Not dogging mcloud...more the decision to put it on a true frosh instead of bringing on slower with a jc answer
