1. I did real bad keeping up on the 2020 class. Sorry all
2. I really think there is a hell of a lot of talent in the backfield right now and our run game should be real improved. Injuries to everyone in that group really hurt this season. Even though Trevor played his ass off every game at the end of the year it was pretty clear he wasn't where he wouldn't wanted to be.
This group now has two P5 recruits/commits in it.
Hoosmam showed some pretty good things when he was healthy
Schee's run style I really liked. Head down bust ass.
Soko is unknown with his recovery though.
The kids that redshirted this year are also real talented.
It is a very talented but going to be young and mostly unproven group.
The biggest key will be figuring out something with the protection scheme. As we've said for years we either need to be pro or true spread. I'd prefer a more pro style but that's moot. We seem to be stuck in limbo of power rushing man to man sized OL trying to run a zone spread system.
I'd love to see us go to a power scheme - which can even be done in gun - and just attack. Steal NDSUs playbook. We might not have the hogs up front they do but that set up could work amazingly well given our personnel

spring ball could be interesting as far as the backfield group goes with Richardson being an early entrant. Hoosman, McCabe, Schnee, Soko and the freshman group that redshirted. I saw a little write up from Cole Bair at the gazette last night and Farley seemed happy to get Richardson.
Richardson, a 3-star recruit from Kansas City, decommitted from Kansas in favor of the Panthers. He announced his decision Wednesday during a ceremony at Schlagle High School.
“We needed that big, strong running back and we just don’t need a back, we need a difference maker,” Farley said. “Whether he’s that or not, I don’t know, but I do know he’s a big, strong running back we’ve been looking at for a long time.”

Short bios on the early signees on unipanthers.com. Two - RB Jaylin Richardson and DE Jacob Ferguson - are enrolling early and are eligible to participate in Spring drills.
"Well, that escalated quickly."

Thats huge, especially in the case of Richardson. We need a reliable workhorse RB more than anything else.Originally posted by ronfitch View PostShort bios on the early signees on unipanthers.com. Basketball has been so great lately, I almost forgot that UNI football is still recruiting. Here are two commits for UNI that just appeared on the radar. A QB and a WR.
Kenden Robinson, Jr. Wideout- https://mobile.twitter.com/1kenden/s...12243015901184
Clay Krousie QB- https://mobile.twitter.com/claykrous...90702626643968

Kilen had 20+ offers going into his senior season, according to this article through Rivals: https://n.rivals.com/news/countdown-...e-class-11-15-"Well, that escalated quickly."

I watched Gunnar's film and he is a beast. Once he hikes the ball he just destroys whomever is in from of him and doesn't stop driving his feet.Originally posted by ronfitch View Post

I am also really pleased with the amount of QB talent we have in the QB room. We have always had QB talent, but this has to be the first time we had so much depth, considering our QB Coach just left.
