Family of UNI players have started following Bond in the last day or so

I’m as skeptical as anyone on things until its final but this one is done.

Looks like we are repeating the Campbell stuff again this offseason. There were people last year that said he wouldn't even start. Trey is the starting PG on the team unless there is a surprise signing yet to come through.

I'm not even sure what this means, I was high on him coming into the program, mostly as a scorer who could play some backup 1 minutes. He came in as a defensive guy who struggled at ball handling. Last year he really accelerated his scoring game, and improved as a ball handler, but not enough for me to believe he's a point who can handle the backcourt without another ball handler. He'll improve again this offseason, but I don't see what the point is in forcing him in a role he won't be maximized at if we don't have to. He is growing into an absolutely fantastic 2 guard which is no easy feat in its own. Let him showcase his strengths, he could easily be the best player on the team next year if we allow him to be.

Interesting thing on Twitter. William (snacks) Harrison, who is an NFL DT from William and penn just posted about Henry. That actually how I saw that post. The line of connection is clear with Henry’s dad at William and penn but kinda cool for Cole to have an NFL player repost him signing with them. Hope Cole has a great season. Kid loved UNI but just never got to the level to be a starter.

Cael Schmitt committed. I assume a walk on but no info

Got a commitment from Cael Schmitt from Coe. 18 points and 3 boards last year and shot 36% from 3. Played at Dubuque Wahlert.

Absolutely nothing wrong with doing some D2/D3 recruiting for walk-ons. Worst case scenario is that he's a good practice body. No downside at all here.

Also, for me at least, tips that Born is going on scholarship because we aren't carrying 5 walk ons. (Courbat, Jacobson, Miller, Schmitt)

Need that "Bowen replacement" to really hit that PG/combo slot hard. Overall good pieces, but still probably that "next level" ball handling game changer like player.
