    • Coach Jake answered a question about recruiting recently on Cornstalk Sports talk saying something to the effect of "we've had a few guys in recently and ended up not going with them". That's not a direct quote but the implication was we didn’t offer them.
I feel like historically when we have a guy in for an official visit we usually offer them. Why has this changed recently? Could be that kids are asking about NIL or even commanding a certain amount that we are not comfortable with and leads to no offer. Could be our current deficiency on the recruitment staff. Could be something else entirely. Who knows, but we're gonna have to figure out how to land some real talent again soon.

That is odd. I do wonder if it's an NIL thing, but the guys who visited and committed elsewhere went to Vermont, Colgate, and Omaha (and maybe there were others?). I have a hard time seeing those schools having a lot of NIL money.
To avoid confusion - my username is baseball (Cy Young award) related, NOT for the Cyclones.

Yeah, who knows. Although to be fair, most of these kids are probably ones we haven't spent a ton of time talking to so visit is probably getting to know them a lot also. More than usual at least

Know nothing about him, but glad to have him walking on and keeping the Miller family's connection to the program going strong.

                Preferred Walk On.

Not going to blow you away with his athleticism or natural physical tools but he's a good shooter and seems to feel the game pretty well. Certainly a nice piece to have on the practice floor.

NIL money is bad enough, but when you start talking about compensating with syrup, well that’s when things get really sticky…

Good thing Marvin Singleton didn't visit there.

                        • If this whole thing comes down to who can pay players the most NIL money, I’m going to lose interest in college sports pretty quickly. UNI will never be able to compete in that realm. We all know it. We can barely get kids outside of CF as it is. The whole thing is kind of a bummer.

                          • Mosley is going to Missouri to hang with Noah. That’s actually a really solid pickup for them. Mosley can definitely play in the SEC.

They're obviously going to be an amazing defensive team...

I don’t know anything about the (what seems like 12 other additions) but they definitely should be able to score at multiple levels.

my hope is they don’t win a game

if ppl could leave with grace and not try and burn the place down on the way out maybe I’d feel different.
