Re: Offer Mr. Green! Class of 2018
What's interesting to note is that they've already got a 4-star PG from the 2017 class, coupling with there junior JUCO PG (who's playing 16 minutes a game off the bench). If he went to ISU, then he'd get so little playing time in his first year, and then only marginal playing time until he gets to start his senior year. That's not even factoring in the 56 or so transfers that will show up to ISU in the next three or so years.
Meanwhile, he comes here, and depending on how good McCloud is doing, he could probably get at least 6 or 7 minutes a game as a freshman, maybe starting as a sophmore, if not, than being our sixth man a la Wes in 2014-15, and for sure starting as a junior and senior.
I'm not saying there's no reason to go to ISU, trust me, there are plenty of good reasons, but from a playing time standpoint, if I'm a 2018 PG choosing between these two schools, I'm going to UNI.
EDIT: So I'm seeing the same thing on 24/7 Sports, but I'm not seeing it anywhere else, not even on VC, which is the site I trust the most.
