Thanks for the video links.
Betz reminds me of Grant Stout in that he's got a big body, solid post defender and can hit the open 3 ball, but not exactly a "stretch 4." Henry reminds me more of Carlson; a big who would rather play on the wing and not known for his defense. I think the two could compliment each other on the floor together.
I love the passing from Henry as well as the ball handling. He could really open the floor for the other shooters, (especially if he draws the opponent's 5 man) but will he be ready physically as a freshman? Betz, I get the feeling, will never be the man but will contribute constantly in many, many ways, ala Jake Koch.

My oldest has been at Cedar Falls football camp all week, and I was literally just talking to another mom about Logan Wolf yesterday. She asked me if I had heard anything yet. I told her not yet and then get home to see the news break. That's awesome. Having both him and AJ commit locally is pretty cool for CF."...the Northern Iowa men's basketball team reached the ultimate highs before hitting a devastating low. Unexpected success, followed by unimaginable failure. And they owned it -- all of it -- for the world to see. Like men. Like leaders. Like champions -- in a way no tournament bracket could ever define."

He also had to play the 4/5 in high school. He's a combo guard on the AAU circuit and that's what he'll play here.Originally posted by sivert View PostLogan had a couple nice blocks on Pat McC in the state tournament. Not sure how he’s going to translate to college level hoops, but will bring a winning attitude.

This isn’t anything wrong with what you said, nor me trying to go after you for the comment, but I always get a kick out of how underrated Jake Koch is by so many of our fans. Dude was legitimately one of the 5 best Panthers ever to put on a uniform but was never considered “the man”. He was widely disliked by a portion of our fan base as a player. All because he wasn’t like Adam or Seth with his emotions.Originally posted by orangetennis View PostThanks for the video links.

If we get another kid, even remotely, close to Jake Koch we are in damn good shape.
Jake is one of his two players in the history of the Missouri Valley Conference to tally 500+ points, 500+ rebounds, 100+ made 3-pointers, 100+ assists, 100+ blocks and 100+ steals.
Kyle Weems (Missouri State) was previously the only player in MVC history to accomplish the feat.

Tough to build recruting hype when you don’t want too because you only want to go one place your whole life.
Great to hear about a kid who knows what he wants. I'm not a fan of all this AAU posturing for multiple offers. Plus, it helps him focus on the entire experience of school and community, not just being a cog in a basketball machine somewhere. Looking forward to watching him become a fan favorite.

Jake Koch is nowhere close to being a top 5 player in Panther history.Originally posted by clenz View Post

Hampton radio station KLMJ (just a few miles south of Tut's Sheffield hometown) is indeed reporting he will be a Grad Assistant at UNI this season.Originally posted by Blue42 View PostIf the rumors are true that Tuttle is becoming a GA with the Panthers, I really like the idea of him working with CH on his game.
Similar players with great post passing ability.

I like what we're shown. He has some Tuttle esc moves. That said, I would like to see his game against large school competition. Some guys that are bigger than 6'5".Originally posted by unipanther2154 View Post
