Carter is a 3.5. Its the biggest concern with him. probably end up playing the 3 more.

Betz seems like a stretch 4. Henry also I think

With the more up tempo style Jake is trying to play, Henry may make sense at the 5. He seems like a pretty good athlete for his size, with good feet. I haven’t seen Betz or Carter, but mobility may be Jake’s MO, making a true back to the basket 5 obsolete. I’m totally fine with that if we can consistently bring in enough forwards to offset the 30 guards on the roster.

We also got a commitment from Evan Gauger, I assume he's a walk on? Also, I don't think I saw it mentioned here, but I heard during the Bemidji game that Wentzien was added to scholarship this year, takes care of that extra one we had.

Correct, he and Derek Krogmann (and also Logan Wolfe) will be walkons.

I LOVE his game. Unfortunately, he's a non-qualifier and has to go JUCO. Doesn't have the ACT or GPA to be a realistic DI look right out of high school. Absolutely no doubt that he could play and contribute here.

Two future Panthers locked horns Friday night when Indianola and Oskaloosa played in Indy.

Cole Henry had 43 points for Osky.

Evan Gauger had 35 for Indianola.

Gauger has a really interesting game...more mid range and getting to the basket. He's lanky like a lit of high school kids but I like him more every time I see video.

Henry continues to remind me of Seth Tuttle. Henry not as good a shooter but more athletic and quick off the floor. Coaches son and great passer.

I don't know what kinda competition that Derek Krogmann plays at West Delaware but his stat lines are ridiculous.

He must be a load in the paint.

For those in the CR area with Mediacom, West Delaware is scheduled to play Marion on KCRG 9.2 next Friday, Jan. 18. I'm looking forward to seeing what Krogmann looks like. The articles on him in the Gazette have all been very complimentary.
